Building Futures with connection, compassion, and empathy.
Here at EBF, we believe in investing in our community. We partner with local businesses to introduce our community to various resources: mental health care, entrepreneurship skills for our youth, agriculture, animal care, and pet education. Our model moves people and animals from environments of distress toward safety, positive motivation, skills building, economic opportunity, and shared responsibility — helping those who need it most.

Our Mission
We create safe spaces where hearts connect, voices are heard, and no one has to suffer in silence. Through Mental Wellness Conversation Cafés, authentic human connection, and the healing companionship of animals, we bring people together mind to mind and heart to heart—lifting spirits, overcoming loneliness, restoring hope, and rediscovering the joy of shared experiences.
Our belief is simple: Connection is powerful, compassion is healing, and no one should have to walk alone.
Eloise Barton came to the Americas in 1898 as a transplant by way of the Trans-Atlantic. She was talented and caring, and her focus was always on leaving everything she touched in better condition than she found it. Mrs. Eloise was affectionately known for her exemplary service, from delivering babies to making tinctures, soaps, tonics, elixirs, salves, and much more. She believed in helping others through community, using her hands as the tool and her heart as the engine and it was her knowledge combined with her passion for people that made EBF's mission — healing and uplifting the community —possible.
In the words of EBF Founder and CEO, Jacqueline Bowman: "I am proud to be the granddaughter of this very humble woman. She was dignified, respectable, never loud, and always gracious. She had a saying: "the value is in listening."
Eloise demonstrated how to care for community through respecting elders, being courteous towards strangers, sharing with others, and so much more. Her wisdom is alive and well today in EBF's philosophy, where we strive to connect others at our CBT-informed Friendship Cafe and teach our youth with opportunity through our Windows to the World program. We also work in partnership with St. Philip's WeCreation Center and Gee Your Dog Smells Terrific, a local business centered on raising revenue for donation through holistic animal health products.
